Description:
The North and South Halls represent the largest constructionproject in campus history and the first new residence halls built in more than60 years. The multi-phase development delivers more than 300,000 square feet ofmodern student housing and dining space, replacing aging towers with twocontemporary residence halls and a two-story dining facility. North Hall, asix-story, 183,000-square-foot building with approximately 410 beds and the newdining center, opened in Fall 2025, with the five-story, 124,000-square-footSouth Hall adding 540 beds in Spring 2026. Together, the buildings anchor a newresidential hub that strengthens connections between living, learning, andcampus life.
Designed in UW’s Collegiate Gothic sandstone style, thehalls feature modern room types, semi-suite layouts, and student-focusedamenities including individual climate controls, community kitchens, studylounges, and centralized services. The dining center seats up to 850 diners andoffers nine food-concept stations, a visible bakery, and expanded meal-planoptions. High-performance systems, durable finishes, and flexible social spaceselevate the student experience, establishing a new benchmark for residentiallife at the University of Wyoming.
